Ningbo Opera House

This new arts complex brings Ningbo into line with other Chinese cities' cultural provision. The 58,000 square meter arts complex includes a 1,500 seat opera house with full cruciform stage, a multipurpose conference hall seating 800, a meeting center, library, banquet facilities and restaurants. The complex was designed and constructed in just 42 months (work began in March 2001 and the facility was completed in September 2004), which is a remarkable achievement considering the size of the site and the sheer scale of the works!
