Planning for new facilities for the College Conservatory of Music began in 1992 with an analysis of needs, site relationships, and possibilities for reuse of existing spaces. A building project totaling of 285,000 square feet - 148,000 new and 138,000 renovated - was executed in six phases over seven years. The completed project includes a 740-seat multipurpose space, 300-seat recital hall, 150-seat studio theatre, rehearsal space, studios, and support spaces.
