Ogden Egyptian Center, Peery's Egyptian Theater

Ogden, Utah, USA

Completion

1997

Architect

Sanders Herman and C. W. Fentress J. H. Bradburn
This theatre was a 1920s "atmospheric" movie house which has been extensively refurbished and revitalized and now serves as a fully equipped proscenium theatre seating 750. Adjacent to the David Eccles Conference Center, it is the home of Weber State University's Utah Musical Theatre and other local arts groups. Among the new amenities, there is a modern stage house with an up-to-date rigging system, a trapped floor and expanded back stage areas. The orchestra pit floor is on a mechanized lift, allowing it to be repositioned for extra seating or as an extension to the front of the stage.
