Ahmanson Theatre

In 1990, Theatre Projects was appointed by the Center Theatre Group and the Los Angeles Music Center to conduct a redevelopment study for the Ahmanson. Our team investigated options to improve the theatre, with particular emphasis on creating intimacy and atmosphere in the theatre spaces, and updating and improving the stage, technical equipment, and backstage areas. The renovation included the addition of side boxes and infrastructure to close off portions of the upper levels to accommodate small-scale productions.
