A major new arts center is being planned for Kansas City and is scheduled to open in 2011. The 320,000 square foot center is under construction and will include an 1,800-seat multipurpose theatre for lyric, musical, and dance productions, and a 1,600-seat symphonic concert hall. The complex will also include warm-up rooms and support spaces.
