One of the world's most renowned and highly regarded theatre complexes, the National contains three performance spaces, extensive backstage support, rehearsal rooms and workshops and public areas that are open throughout the day to visitors.

The theatres are: The Olivier, with a modified thrust stage and seating 1,160; The Lyttelton, with a flexible proscenium stage and 890 seats and The Cottesloe which is a flexible courtyard space with seating galleries around three sides and a central space for audience or performer, seating is between 200 and 400 depending on the layout.
