One of Milan's most treasured theatres, the national theatre was founded in 1922. Over the years, the theatre has played host to many famous artists, operettas, and variety shows, and more recently, musicals and contemporary dramas. To keep the technical facilities up to date, the theatre has commissioned an overhaul of the lighting, sound and communications infrastructure and theatre engineering systems.
