As technical director and designer for our UK office, Alan has responsibility for coordinating the contributions of our performance equipment design team at every stage of a project. He is also a specialist in architectural lighting.

Alan's love of theatre dates back to his university days when he was a stage director at University College, London. From there he went on to join the Birmingham Repertory Theatre as chief electrician, resident lighting designer, and production manager.

In 1971, Alan joined Theatre Projects as a project leader, and he joined our Board of Directors five years later. Alan headed the company's activities in Southeast Asia between 1978 and 1981, and he continues to take a particular interest in projects in this part of the world. Alan's project experience is extremely diverse, having worked on a huge range of project types across the globe.
