'Worthy of the Limelight'.
See the story in the Washington Post about the new Clarice Smith 318,000 square feet Performing Arts Center for the University of Maryland that is readying itself for a Fall 2001 opening.
A concert hall, recital hall, proscenium theatre, and studio spaces for drama and dance are clustered together with extensive teaching facilities and a library in an 'arts village'.
Architects Moore Ruble Yudell in collaboration with Ayer/Saint/Gross of Baltimore worked with TPC and acoustician Larry Kirkegaard on the realization of this long held dream of a facility for performance and education.
