Theatre Projects presents at the NATEAC
July 15, 2008
Theatre Projects (TPC) is pleased to announce that consultants John Coyne, Scott Crossfield, and John Tissot will be presenting at the North American Theatre Engineering Architecture Conference (NATEAC). The conference will take place July 20 & 21, 2008 at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University in downtown Manhattan.
John Coyne and Scott Crossfield will be part of a panel titled ADA Compliance Issues and will be discussing the "continuing saga of what works and what doesn't." Kristi Thomas of Accessology and Michael Maag of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival will also be participating on the panel.
John Tissot will be participating on The Philadelphia Theatre Company: A Case Study. This panel will focus on the building of new theatres in an urban setting. The Philadelphia Theatre Company is one such company that overcame these challenges. TPC was involved in the programming and design of this theatre. Please join John, Bruce Charlick (Philadelphia Theatre Company's director of operations), and architect Richard Maimon (KieranTimberlake Architects) to discuss how they overcame these challenges and carved out a fantastic performance space in the heart of downtown Philadelphia.
Richard Pilbrow, Michael Nishball, Jules Lauve, and David Rosenburg will also be attending from TPC. NATEAC will offer more than 50 panelists speaking at over 20 sessions on wide-ranging theatre related topics. For more information on panels and events please visit www.nateac.org.
