John Coyne Nominated for an Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Design

John Coyne (TPC Director of Design, US office) has been nominated for an Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Design for his scene design work on The Taming of the Shrew for the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company in Boston. John is nominated with Clint Ramos, costume designer.
The Elliot Norton Awards honor excellence in New England Theatre and are named for Boston's own dean of American drama critics, Elliot Norton.
Other nominees in the Outstanding Design, Large Company category include:
- Eugene Lee (set) and Mauritius (Huntington Theatre Company) for their work on Wicked for Broadway Across America/Boston
- Christine Jones (set) and Justin Townsend (lighting) for their work on The Onion Cellar for the American Repertory Theatre
The 25th annual Elliot Norton Awards will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Cutler Majestic Theatre at Emerson College.
